How Is the Order Color Matched to the Sample?
When ordering natural oak flooring, one common question is whether the finished floor will look the same as the selected sample. We follow the 4-step process outlined below:
1. Understand Natural Oak Variation
Before ordering, Holzer explains the expected natural variation so designers and clients know what to expect.
2. Approve the Master Color
The approved physical sample becomes the Master Color reference.
3. Production Color QC
During production, the Master Color is placed with the finished planks to check the overall color appearance.
4. Finished Floor
The overall colour follows the approved Master Color, while each plank may show its own natural grain, tone and character.
Understand Natural Oak | Different Natural Tones
Holzer Floor explains the natural variation of oak before ordering, including differences in grain, color (dark/medium/light), knots and natural marks (tiger marks). This helps designers and clients understand what to expect from real wood rather than comparing it with the more uniform appearance of synthetic flooring.

How We Check the Color
Before production, the approved Master Color is used as the color reference. During production, the Master Color is placed together with the finished flooring to check the overall color appearance and finishing consistency.
